A partnership between Bumi Sehat and Wadah Foundation created birthing-related maternal & infant health services to coastal areas of the Philippines hardest hit by recent typhoons. Disaster relief work was in partnership with local midwives, the Philippine Armed Forces, and other NGO’s to provide comprehensive services to mamas, babies and families. One clinic is currently in operation on Leyte Island, and a second on Palawan Island. Services include birth, pre and postpartum care, general check ups, nutrition, hygiene kits, and basic humanitarian services supporting community wellbeing. Bumi Wadah’s mobile clinic provides these services to remote villages who would not otherwise be served.
